Constraint Unit Commitment Mode
Units: | - |
Mode: | Input Only |
Multi-band: | False |
Default Value: | 0 |
Validation Rule: | In (0,1,2) |
Key Property: | No |
Description: | Controls how the constraint is handled during unit commitment |
Detail: |
Constraint Unit Commitment Mode controls how the constraint is handled during unit commitment. The setting can take one of these values:
- Enforce (value = 0, default)
- The constraint is enforced at all times during the simulation.
- Relax Before (value = 1)
- The constraint is relaxed while the unit commitment is optimized. Afterwards the unit commitment is frozen and the constraint is enforced.
- Relax After (value = 2)
- The constraint is enforced during unit commitment. Afterwards the unit commitment is frozen and the constraint is relaxed.
This setting is useful in reducing the complexity of the model being solved during unit commitment e.g. you may wish to relax some transmission, reserve, emission or other types of constraints during unit commitment and only enforce them once the commitment is decided.
