Diagnostic Heat Rate produces details of the curve fitting and non-convex corrections made to Generator Heat Rate data.
Three tables are written to the diagnostic:
- A table of polynomial terms ( y = a + b × x + c × x2 + d × x3 ) where y is 'fuel' and x is Generation.
- A table of step-wise functions fitted to the polynomial function, where the steps consist of a megawatt point and an incremental heat rate value.
- A table of step-wise functions with corrections made for non-convexities. These table entries only appear for those curves that require correction.
