Generator Outage Pump Load
Units: | MW |
Mode: | Input Only |
Multi-band: | True |
Default Value: | 1E+30 |
Validation Rule: | Any Value |
Key Property: | No |
Description: | Load drawn by a unit in pumping mode |
Detail: |
Generator Outage Pump Load is the load drawn by a unit in pumping mode when an outage of the given type (band) occurs. This is the pumping analog of the Outage Rating property.
Example
In the following example there are two 'types' of outage defined:
- A partial generation that also de-rates the pumping load
- A full generation outage that does not affect the pumping load
Property | Value | Units | Band | Date From | Date To | Timeslice | Data File | Scenario | Memo |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Units | 1 | - | 1 | ||||||
Max Capacity | 10 | MW | 1 | ||||||
Pump Load | 15 | MW | 1 | ||||||
Pump Efficiency | 75 | % | 1 | ||||||
Units Out | 1 | - | 1 | H4,7 | |||||
Units Out | 1 | - | 2 | H5-6 | |||||
Outage Rating | 4 | MW | 1 | Partial generation outage | |||||
Outage Rating | 0 | MW | 2 | Full generation outage | |||||
Outage Pump Load | 6 | MW | 1 | Partial pump outage | |||||
Outage Pump Load | 15 | MW | 2 | No pump outage |
NOTE: Be default a generation outage defined either by Units Out or by setting Rating to zero will result in zero pumping. This can be overridden by setting the Outage Pump Load alone as in the following example:
Property | Value | Units | Band | Date From | Date To | Timeslice | Data File | Scenario | Memo |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Units | 1 | - | 1 | ||||||
Max Capacity | 10 | MW | 1 | ||||||
Pump Load | 15 | MW | 1 | ||||||
Pump Efficiency | 75 | % | 1 | ||||||
Rating | 0 | MW | 1 | H4,7 | Rating.csv | ||||
Outage Pump Load | 15 | MW | 1 | Ensure generation outages do not affect the pump load |
