Global Tree Period Type sets the period type for the Tree Stages Position argument. The setting can take these values:
- Interval (value = 0)
- Positions are in intervals, where an interval is defined by Horizon Periods per Day.
- Day (value = 1)
- Positions are in calendar days, where a days is defined by the Day Beginning.
- Week (value = 2)
- Positions are in weeks, where a week is defined by the Horizon Week Beginning.
- Month (value = 3)
- Positions are in calendar months.
- Fiscal Year (value = 4)
- Positions are in fiscal years where the year is defined by Horizon Year Ending.
- Hour (value = 6)
- Positions are in hours.
Example
In the following, a three-stage tree is defined where the first stage ends at week 3, the second at 4.

Notice that the Tree Period Type will affect the sample values. If
this parameter is not set to Interval, the samples will be averaged in
