PASA Transmission Detail controls the level of detail that the transmission network is modelled in PASA. The attribute can take these values:
- Regional (value = 0)
- The transmission network is modelled only to the Region level with all resources inside the region connected to a single notional node. Only links between regions are modelled.
- Nodal (value = 1)
- The full transmission network is modelled.
- Zonal (value = 2)
- The transmission network is modelled only to the Zone level with all resources inside the zone connected to a single notional node. Because Node Zone membership is optional, Node objects that are not associated with a Zone are included as 'zones' by themselves. Thus the transmission network consists of inter-zonal lines and links to nodes that are not associated with zones.
Note that PASA uses a simple transportation model of transmission.
