Description: | Levelized cost of storage |
Battery Levelized Cost is the average net cost of electricity from the battery over its lifetime. Levelized cost includes the Cost to Load. It is computed as:
Levelized Cost = Total Cost / Generation.
As with Generator Levelized Cost, this property reports raw values without discounting. The levelized cost of a battery facility over its lifetime can be computed through appropriate summation and discounting, i.e:
Lifetime levelized cost with discounting = (∑n=1:N Total Costn / (1 + r)n) / (∑n=1:N Generationn / (1 + r)n).
Where n is a discount period (i.e. year), N is the asset lifetime and r is the discount rate.
