Line Type controls what type of line is modelled for expansion in LT Plan. It can take one of the following values:
- AC (value = 0)
- The line is expanded as a AC line in which case the network impedance matrix will change if the line is selected for expansion. User needs to enable this property and define the value to enable AC expansion feature.
- DC (value = 1)
- The line is expanded as a DC line.
- For the Line to be an expansion candidate it must define Max Units Built
- For it to be expanded as an AC line it must also define Reactance otherwise it will be a DC line
NOTE: The AC option is allowed only when OPF Method is set to "Variable Shift Factor" otherwise the Line Type will default to DC.
