The LT Variable Report output table reports advanced diagnostics when using the MIP methodology. Generally, reporting this table is not needed, but the advanced diagnostics it provides may be helpful in understanding unexpected LT results.
The table lists each variable used in each LT MIP solution, including information about the variable bounds, objective coefficient, and solution. This information can be used to validate the new resource costs and profitability seen by the optimization as well as show which constraints had to be relaxed (by looking at the relaxation variables).
When reviewing the table, the variable used for the objective function is read as: Variable_Name was required to be between Lower_Bound and Upper_Bound and had a cost or value per unit of Objective_Coefficient. The final solution is reported in the Solution_Value column.
NOTE: To select this table for reporting, turn on the Report MIP Diagnostic Tables on the Long Term form of Simulation Options. This table is only available when using the MIP methodology.
