Chart Window Toolbar

The toolbar ribbon at the top of the Chart Window contains the following buttons:

Save Chart As

This button is used to save the chart as an image file. Use the window to browse to a location, enter a file name, and select the file type. File type options are: .png, .bmp, jpg, .pdf, and .xlsx.

Save As Quick View

This button is used to save a customized chart for reuse. These custom views are saved as Quick Views under the Charts heading. For more information on custom views see Using Quick Views.

Print

This button is used to print the current view of a chart.

Format

	Chart Type This button is used to change the chart type being displayed. It offers quick access to the most frequently used charts. To access histogram or scatter charts (or to return to standard chart types), use the dropdown in the Chart Setup window. Even more options are available in the Advanced Editor, by clicking on the button in the Advanced Designer.
	Color Scheme This button is used to select the color scheme for the chart. More customization is available in the Advanced Designer, by going to Options > Appearance and selecting from other Palettes.
	Legend Placement This button moves the legend, placing it on the right or the bottom of the chart, or turns it off completely.
	Change Series Type This button is used to change how a series plots on the chart. The chart type can be individually selected for each series.
	Enable Scrolling When enabled/highlighted, this button offers options for scrolling around on the chart. This can include zooming in/out using your mouse wheel, or resetting axis magnification by clicking and dragging on the scrollbars and then using them to scroll through the chart.
	Data Grid This button activates the data grid below the chart. This is helpful to see changes in data through time, especially on charts that are data intensive.
	Chart Setup This button is used to access the Chart Setup window which is typically launched when the Chart button is selected. General functions in the design and make-up of the chart are entered here.
	Advanced Designer This button is used to access the Advanced Designer window which offers incredibly advanced features for user customization. It is also useful for quickly filtering out data.
