1. Upgrade Compatibility

This version will automatically upgrade any previous Version 5 or Version 6 database. You may need to check the upgrade notes of earlier releases for any compatibility issues. Note that, once converted to 6.207 format, databases in this version may require some manual work to be retro-graded to earlier versions. In particular the new Generator Fixed Load Method property will not retro-grade automatically (you will need to restore the old Production attribute manually).

2. Changes

The Production attribute 'Fixed Load Method' is replaced by the Generator Fixed Load Method setting, which then allows this control to be set by object rather than global to the simulation. The default for this setting is changed from "Relax When Zero" to "Enforce Zero Values". Existing settings are automatically upgraded.

3. Features

  • Commitment logic is now available for the Purchaser class with the introduction of the Min Load property, which is analogous to Generator Min Stable Level.
  • Improvements have been made to the dynamic program unit commitment option (available via the Unit Commitment Optimality setting).
  • The Cournot class has been enhanced. It now has reporting properties where the full detail of the Cournot solution can be output.
