Detail: |
Reserve Risk is the megawatt requirement for reserve and is defined by the following equation:
Reserve Risk ≥ Static Risk + MAX( Min Provision, dynamic Generator Risk / Risk Adjustment Factor, dynamic Battery Risk / Risk Adjustment Factor, dynamic Load Risk, Line Risk)
To avoid reserve risk in excess of the value on the RHS above, a small non-zero cost should be input for all potential reserve provision sources. The relevant input properties to set the provisioning costs associated with the reserve object are dependent on the type of Reserve provider.- For Generators: Reserves VO&M Charge property is associated with the provision of spinning and replacement reserves. The cost incurred is reported as Reserves VO&M Cost.
- For Purchasers: Offer Price in conjunction with Offer Quantity determines provision costs.
- For Batteries: Charge Offer Price in conjunction with Offer Quantity determines provision costs.
