Ancillary Group

This optional column defines groups of ancillary service products. If the column is not present or NULL, all ancillary products are considered to be in the same group. Resources can count the same MW of energy as simultaneously contributing to products in different groups but not within the same group.
For example, suppose UnitA participates in two ancillary products:
Prod1 and Prod2
Assume that for a given hour, the resource had 15MW of available ramp-up capability that could be contributed towards the ancillary products. Therefore:

If Prod1 and Prod2 are in the same Ancillary Group, then UnitA's total combined ancillary contribution to both products is limited to 15MW.

If Prod1 and Prod2 belong to different groups, UnitA could simultaneously contribute up to 15MW towards Prod1 and 15MW towards Prod2.
