The Number Of Segments column defines the precision level of the quadratic conversion function. The function is converted into a piece-wise linear function, and the higher the number of segments used, the more precise the relationship will be modeled. More segments increase the complexity of the problem for the solver, though, and typically the default of 10 segments is sufficient.
