Block Size Column

Column Type = Text

When using commitment optimization, a Commitment resource is forced to operate at specific levels determined by the block size value.

For example, if a resource’s capability is 100 MW and the block size is 25 MW, then the resource can output at one of the following levels:

The unit will operate at the same level, one of the blocks, for every hour.

If the block size is less than or equal to 0, no constraint is applied.

NOTE: Specify inputs for any time period (annually, monthly, weekly, hourly, or sub-hourly). For information on specifying a variable's time series, see Entering a Time Series.
