This optional column specifies an adder ($/MW/start) for the Start Up Costs of a unit. The adder is determined based on the number of starts in the current year specified via a Time Series Weekly reference. The nth entry of the specified 168 hours in a weekly vector is the adder for the nth start for the resource in the current year. For example, the value entered for column 5 is the adder used for the 5th start.

Adders are specified in nominal Base Year currency. Negative adders are allowed. If the number of starts for a unit exceeds 168, the adder value for the 168th start is utilized for all further starts in the year.

 NOTE: The column only accepts Time Series Weekly references and Time Series Annual with weekly references for each year. If an annual time series is specified, the curve is reset at the start of each year in the study. For information on how to specify a time series for a variable, see Entering a Time Series.
