Pool ID Column

The character ID for the pool. This column is used to resolve the references to pools made in the Zone Definition table. All zones pointing to the same Pool ID will be included in the corresponding pool defined here, unless the pointer is to an ID of “Default”. If a running zone either has a Pool ID that is blank or equal to “Default” a pool will automatically be created containing just that zone, with pool input data values equal to those found in this table for the record with Pool ID = “Default”. (The Pool ID and Pool Name will be derived from the zone information in this case). For ease of use, it is recommended that all operating pool tables contain a record with Pool ID = “Default”. Attempting a pool-enabled run without either all running zones having a defined pool pointer, or an entry of “Default” in this table will result in a warning message and run stop.
