Use this column to enter the station service load, in MW, for the resource. If the plant output is >0 then it will satisfy all of the station service and incur no additional cost to the portfolio. When the plant is not running, the amount of the requirement will be added to the portfolio demand to be satisfied by either a requirements contract or market purchase at the appropriate cost.
Note that all costs in $/MWh reflect MW delivered to the grid. In order for the total costs to the system to be accurate, make sure to model heat rates to reflect total fuel in and net power out to the grid to capture the effect of station service at generator.
NOTE: Inputs can be specified for any time period (annual, monthly, weekly, hourly or sub-hourly). For information on how to specify a time series for a variable, see Entering a Time Series.
