Capacity Revenue Multiplier Column
Column Type = Text

The optional Capacity Revenue Multiplier column is used adjust the capacity revenue for individual resources. The value is multiplied by the capacity price for the resource’s zone each hour to determine the capacity revenue for the resource. If the column does not exist in the table or the value is NULL/blank the setting will default to 1.

This value will not affect the actual capacity price calculation except for the fact that resources with a value of 0 will not be allowed to set the capacity price, however, resources with a value of 0 will still contribute to the reserve margin.

One example where this column might be used is when renewable resources are not eligible to receive capacity payments because they receive revenue from renewable energy credits, but these resources still contribute to the reserve margin. In that case, this value should be set to 0 for those resources.

NOTE: Inputs can be specified for any time period (annual, monthly, weekly, hourly or sub-hourly). For information on how to specify a time series for a variable, see Entering a Time Series.

NOTE: If the FUEL reference is specified for this variable the value in the Fuel Table will be applied.
