Monitor Column

The Monitor column is used to override the default branch monitoring level specified for the optimal power flow.

True will cause monitoring of the branch regardless of its voltage level

False will turn monitoring off

A blank or null value will maintain the default monitoring status
NOTE: This column is especially useful for turning off monitoring on branches that cause infeasible hours. Caution is advised against indiscriminately turning off monitoring and should be done only by those with understanding of the system and monitoring impacts. Branch constraints causing infeasible hours are written to the NodalStudyLog output table.
NOTE: Monitoring cannot be turned off for DC transmission lines, as defined by the LoadFlow_DCTerms table. When DC lines are present, Aurora seeks to find the optimal flow on DC lines, which requires the flow on DC ties to be monitored.
