zREM Total Capacity Column
Column Type = Text

This column shows the total machine capacity for the unit (in MW) but is not used internally by the model.  (See zREM Columns.)  Generally, this number will be equal to the Capacity column except in cases of cogeneration and Curtailment units.  The zREM Total Capacity represents the total capacity of the unit while the Capacity column represents what is available to serve dispatch area load.  For cogen units, historical Sale for Resale or an average percentage of the total capacity of similar units is used for Capacity.  For Curtailment units, zREM Total Capacity is generally reported as 0 (zero) because there is no actual machine capacity.  (More on Curtailment Units)

Example:  A cogen plant with 500MW total capacity is input as 500MW in zREM Total Capacity column.  If 30% of that is retail sales then 150MW (500 * .30) is represented as available to serve the grid and is input as 150MW in the Capacity column.

The "z" was added to the beginning of all REM columns to make the alphabetized Go to Column command more user-friendly.
