Aurora on PLEXOS Cloud Overview
Aurora on PLEXOS Cloud places powerful, accurate analysis capabilities in your hands with the high-performance, cloud-enabled features to scale with your needs.
Aurora on PLEXOS Cloud enables you to access the Cloud environment and use the Aurora Cloud Tools to upload projects and run simulations. The results can be viewed within Aurora or on the Web. You can even download results within Aurora.
NOTE: Portfolio Optimization studies are not supported in the Cloud.
Prerequisites
You will need to get set up in the Cloud environment before using Aurora on PLEXOS Cloud. Reach out Energy Exemplar Customer Support to find out how you can get set up with Aurora on PLEXOS Cloud.
You will also need Write Access to a new location for cloud logs:
C:\Users\{YOURUSERNAME}\AppData\Local/PLEXOS Cloud\Logs
Signing into the Cloud Environment
To begin using Aurora on PLEXOS Cloud, you must sign in to the Cloud environment where you will be running simulations. There is a Sign In option on the top-right of the screen (maximize screen if you cannot see it right away). This shows the Cloud environment that you must sign into to work with PLEXOS Cloud and to run Cloud simulations.
When you access File > Options > Cloud Environment, there will be a dropdown option containing the three default Cloud Environments.
If you have a custom Cloud Environment that you want to specify, you can type your custom name in the dropdown text box.
Click the Sign In option for your correct environment. The PLEXOS Cloud Sign In dialog displays.
NOTE: To log out of PLEXOS Cloud, double-click again on the Sign In option on the top-right of the screen (maximize the screen if you cannot see the sign in option right away).
