Apply New Resource Coefficients Column
Column Type = Text
This column can also be called “Apply New Resource Coefficients Annually.”
There are three options:
- Together: This is the default behavior. All new builds referenced in the Custom Constraint Matrix for this constraint will participate together in a single constraint.
- Annually: This option creates a new constraint for each new resource year when there are new resources referenced in the Custom Constraint Matrix for this constraint. For example: for all new builds referenced in the custom constraint, those built in 2024 will participate together in one constraint, those built in 2025 will participate in a second constraint, those built in 2026 will participate in a third constraint, etc. “TRUE” is also an acceptable input for this option.
- Individually: This option automatically creates a new constraint for each combination of new resources built when there are new resources referenced in the Custom Constraint Matrix for this constraint. For example: Let’s say nr_id_storage and nr_id_solar are the two variables referenced for the constraint in the Custom Constraint Matrix, and in 2024 two units are built from nr_id_storage and two units are built from nr_id_solar. Aurora will create two constraints – one constraint for the first pair of solar and storage, and a second constraint for the second pair of solar and storage. This way, pairings or groupings of referenced variables will be placed in separate constraints.
Any other input text is recognized as the default option,"Together."
