Start Fuel ID Column
Column Type = Text

Entries in the Start Fuel ID column define the fuel type to be used as a start fuel for the resource. This column is used in combination with the Start Fuel Amount column to determine fuel based start costs for a unit. Start fuel costs are continually updated as fuel costs, start fuel amounts, or unit capacity changes. These costs are combined with any additional start costs specified for the unit through the Startup Cost column for use in unit commitment decisions. If the Fuel ID referenced here does not exist in the fuel input table a warning error message will be displayed and the model will assume no start fuel for the unit.

This column is impacted by the Use Nameplate Capacity for MW Based Commitment Input setting.

NOTE: If the Start Fuel ID is not specified but Start Fuel Amount > 0, then the start fuel will default to the cheaper of the Primary Fuel or Secondary Fuel.
