Overall Min Column

This column is used to specify the overall minimum number of new technology resource types for the group that will be considered for addition during a long term optimization study. The logic is activated by assigning the ID/Number from this table to New Resource table records in the Resource Group column.
When a new resource group with multiple options has an Overall Min, the long term logic will reevaluate all new resource options in the group to ensure that the most profitable subset is always selected to meet the Overall Min constraint. Generally, for the best convergence of the long term study it is recommended not to place a large number of candidate resources in a resource group with an Overall Min constraint.
