The Total Fuel Cost is reported for all time variables (i.e., annually, monthly, hourly, and sub-hourly) in the study.
If a client attempts to verify the sum of resource fuel costs by comparing them to the pool fuel costs (similarly for VOM costs), discrepancies may arise if some resources use heat rate segments. In such cases, the total fuel costs may not match because resources with heat rate segments may be double-counted.
NOTE: Heat rate segments are also displayed separately in the resource output table for reporting purposes. This may contribute to the variance between Total Fuel and VOM costs displayed in the zone/pool and resource output tables.
