Hosts

This section is used to configure multiple host services and schedule and monitor projects across them. If you have many projects and/or machines, you can make better use of your existing infrastructure by using automation across various hosts.

Max Instances

Set the number of concurrent Aurora projects that can be run on the Host. The recommended maximum is the lesser value of: The number of cores on the machine (minus one to keep at least one core available for managing OS overhead) or the total memory of the computer in GB divided by two. Take the lesser value of the two numbers since either the core count or RAM will be the limiting factor for how many instances you can have.

For example, a machine that has 8 cores, but only 4GB of RAM should have a "Max instances" set to no higher than 2 since it would be 8-1=7 or less since 8-1=7 cores available vs. 32GB/2=16.

Remove Host

Removes the host from the list of available hosts.
Cancel the edit and return to previous host.
