Units: | % |
Mode: | Input Only |
Multi-band: | False |
Default Value: | 100 |
Validation Rule: | Between 0 And 100 |
Key Property: | No |
Description: | Maximum capacity factor in the interval |
Facility Max Capacity Factor (and its period-specific variants (Hour, Day, Week, Month and Year) define an upper bound on a facility' capacity factor on an hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, or annual basis.
A straight-forward approach to modelling an production-limited Facility (e.g. a hydro generator) is to place periodic limits on the capacity factor as in Table 1
Property | Value | Units | Timeslice |
---|---|---|---|
Units | 1 | - | |
Max Operating Level | 250 | - | |
Max Capacity Factor Month | 24 | % | M01 |
Max Capacity Factor Month | 66 | % | M02 |
Max Capacity Factor Month | 68 | % | M03 |
Max Capacity Factor Month | 63 | % | M04 |
Max Capacity Factor Month | 76 | % | M05 |
Max Capacity Factor Month | 36 | % | M06 |
Max Capacity Factor Month | 77 | % | M07 |
Max Capacity Factor Month | 46 | % | M08 |
Max Capacity Factor Month | 22 | % | M09 |
Max Capacity Factor Month | 4 | % | M10 |
Max Capacity Factor Month | 15 | % | M11 |
Max Capacity Factor Month | 8 | % | M12 |
Note the use Capacity
Factor Month variant and time
slices (patterns) to change the capacity factor limits by month
of year.
The simulator converts these constraints into Constraint objects. By default the constraints are 'hard' i.e. no violation is allowed. If you prefer to allow violations then set the Max Production Penalty property.
