Operating Reserve Requirement Column (Optional)

This column is used to enter the operating reserve requirement, as a percent, for each zone in the system. If the field is NULL/blank the default value of 6.5% is applied to the zone.
NOTE: This value is only used when the Dispatch and Demand setting Use Operating Reserves is selected.
When the Reserve Sharing column in the Operating Pools table is set to TRUE, an hourly operating reserve obligation for the pool will be calculated based on the combined demand for all zones within the pool, and the set of combined pool resources will be used to determine the economic set held out of the dispatch to satisfy operating reserve constraints. When TRUE, the reserve requirement will be based on the Pool Operating Reserve Requirement. Only if this option is set to FALSE will the reserve calculations will be performed at the zone level, with the reserve requirement specified for the zone.
