Commitment External Representation Column (optional)

This optional column is only used when Commitment Optimization is being used and the Solve Representation = Region. The valid options are:

None - The default is None and when this is selected, Aurora will commit without any representation of the system external to the aggregate area (but the dispatch after commitment will still consider imports and exports).

Economic - When Economic is selected, Aurora will commit resources in the aggregate area using import/export information from a simplified solve of the entire system that seeks to use flows between regions to minimize the cost on the whole system.

Optimize - When Optimize is selected, Aurora will commit resources in the aggregate area using import/export information from a simplified solve of the entire system that seeks to use flows between regions to minimize the cost on the whole system. (In previous versions this option was called Economic, and is still allowed.)
NOTE: The Economic/Optimize option is recommended if Regions are specified for external areas with Composite Buses. It allows commitment for external regions to consider expected tie-flows with areas on OPF.
