LTAvgPrice Output Table

The LT Study Average Price output table reports a simple average of all zone prices for all years of the study period ($/MWh) as well as a total resource value ($000/MW) on an odd-iteration-by-odd-iteration basis. These values are useful as a general comparison of stability between long-term study iterations and to determine how quickly the model is converging on a final solution.

NOTE: In order to promote convergence when using the Use Reserve Margin Capacity Targets option, the LT study algorithm alternates resource addition/retirement decisions and capacity price adjustment every other LT iteration. Resource valuation and addition/retirement decisions are considered after each odd LT iteration (1,3,5,etc.) and capacity prices are adjusted after each even LT iteration (2,4,6,etc.).
