Fuel_Cost Column
Units = $/MMBtu

The average fuel cost for the resource during the specified time period.

Fuel blending is considered active when you provide a blend ratio limit in at least one of the following columns in the Resource input table.

When Fuel Blending is Active, this column reports:

Blended Fuel Cost = (1-blendRatio)* PrimaryFuelCost + blendRatio* SecondaryFuelCost

NOTE: blendRatio is the ratio of Secondary Fuel Usage to Total Fuel Usage for the dispatchable segment when Blending Fuel is Active.

NOTE: For reporting in cases where a) the segment is not dispatched (i.e., 0 MW output), b) Full Load Heat Rate is used, and c) Full Load Cost is used, blendRatio is based on the cheapest blending fuel cost (considering both the ratios provided in the columns: Second Fuel Max Ratio and Second Fuel Min Ratio of the Resources Input table. When calculating fuel blending cost and heat rate with multiple primary and secondary fuels, each fuel type's cost and heat rate values are based on the cheapest primary and secondary fuel.

For resource segment reporting, cost and heat rate values reported for each resource segment are based on that segment's blendRatio (Secondary Fuel Usage for the resource segment / Total Fuel Usage for the resource segment), not the overall blendRatio. For unit-level reporting, cost and heat rate values (i.e., Combine Resource Segments in Reporting is enabled for a resource; the reporting is based on the overall blendRatio (Secondary Fuel Usage for the resource / Total Fuel Usage for the resource).
