The Accounting Fuel column specifies a reference Fuel ID for the resource, as found in the Fuel table. When populated, this accounting fuel will be used in post-processing for fuel costs and fuel usage. It will also be used in reporting fuel Usage in the Fuel Output table.
The resource dispatch is done using the standard Primary and Secondary fuel costs. Then, based on the fuel usage for the primary/secondary fuel, the model will calculate the total fuel cost for the resource using the accounting fuel/Secondary Accounting Fuel (if these are defined). The Fuel_Cost and Total_Fuel_Cost in the Resource output will be populated with the accounting fuel costs (when applicable).
NOTE: The accounting fuels will not be adjusted by the Fuel Adder, Fuel Multiplier, Second Fuel Adder, or Second Fuel Multiplier columns.
Zonal prices and dispatch results are not affected by the use of the accounting fuel columns - only the post-processing is adjusted. If accounting fuels are used, those fuel costs will also flow through to the Portfolio logic when applicable.
NOTE: If the Accounting Fuel's Price resolves to zero (0), the Accounting Fuel will not be used for the hour.
