Hydro Type Column
Column Type = Single
The optional Hydro Type column is used to assign whether hydro resources automatically becomes part of an energy constraint using the hydro input assumptions. Valid entries are:
- Normal - the model uses the standard hydro shaping logic for this resource.
- Monthly Limit - the model uses the regular hydro assumptions from the Hydro Monthly table to develop a monthly energy limit for the resource and invokes the constraint logic with monthly constraints.
- Annual Limit - the model uses the total annual hydro energy available for the resource and creates an annual constraint.
When a limit is applied, this logic also makes the hydro resource Must Run and gives it a minimum and maximum capacity based on the entries in the Hydro Vectors table.
