LTCapacLog Output Table
The LT Capacity Log output table will be created for long-term runs using the Use Reserve Margin Capacity Targets option with the Capacity Diagnostic Output Level set to 1 or 2. The information in this output table is intended to assist in understanding the capacity balancing decisions and capacity pricing results produced in the long-term studies. It reports summary statistics on the marginal resource for capacity by zone/pool and any necessary capacity price adjustment on an even-iteration-by-even-iteration basis.
NOTE: In order to promote convergence when using the Use Reserve Margin Capacity Targets option, the LT study algorithm alternates resource addition/retirement decisions and capacity price adjustment every other LT iteration. Resource valuation and addition/retirement decisions are considered after each odd LT iteration (1,3,5,etc.) and capacity prices are adjusted after each even LT iteration (2,4,6,etc.).
