This setting controls the amount of output written to the LTCapacityLog and LTMargResLog output tables when performing a long-term run using the target reserve margin. Available levels include:
0 (zero)
No diagnostic output will be created.
1 (one)
Output in the LTCapacityLog for the study initial capacity balancing results, and iteration results for capacity balance and for annual energy and capacity prices within the iteration.
2 (two)
Output for (1) plus additional diagnostic output in the LTCapacityLog by iteration by zone for energy price regression, marginal capacity units and economic time series, and capacity price adjustment calculations.
3 (three)
Output for (2) plus activates the LTMargResLog, containing additional diagnostic output listing only the marginal resources for each pool or zone in the study.
4 (four)
Output for (3) plus additional diagnostic output in the LTMargResLog containing a value stack for each pool in the study, listing all resources in that pool.
5 (five)
Output for (4) plus additional diagnostic output in the LTMargResLog containing a value stack for each zone in the study, listing all resources in that zone.
NOTE: Level 2 can produce very large amounts of output. Each iteration will produce approximately 16 records for each year of the study within each zone. A 25 year study for 20 zones and 50 iterations will produce roughly 400,000 records (16 records * 25 years * 20 zones * 50 iterations). The number of columns in each record will correspond to length of the study in years plus 8 columns (33 columns for a 25 year study). When using level 2 output, make sure you have the Maximum Output Records set to a low value so you will not run out of system memory during a long-term run.
