Commitment Optimization
Commitment Optimization uses a formal mathematical program, a Mixed Integer Program (MIP), to determine the hourly unit commitment pattern. The commitment optimization results are guaranteed to be optimal up to a tolerance level which you can specify in the settings shown below. However, it takes longer to get a result with Commitment Optimization than Traditional Commitment, but the result will be better in terms of optimal results.
