When a value for Input Variable is selected, the dropdowns for the ID column will self-populate with the allowable values for this column. The list will typically start with "ALL". Select “ALL” for the record to apply to all study items within that input category (e.g., All zones, all fuels, all hydro sets, etc.). (This column can also be called Number or Area.)
The definition of the values in the dropdowns are described below.
Demand - Select the zonal demand number/ID. This number is located in the column Zone ID column of the Zone Definition table.
Demand Set - Select the demand set by referencing a column name in the Demand Escalation, Demand Hourly, and Demand Monthly tables. This option provides the ability to shock individual demand sets that may be part of a Demand Collection, instead of zone as a whole.
Portfolio Demand - Select the Number of the portfolio from the Portfolio Information table.
Hydro - Select the hydro set ID. The hydro set IDs are the column names in the Hydro Monthly and Hydro Vectors tables.
Resource - Select the Resource ID for the resource from the Resources table. The Binomial Distribution Type is only applied for resource Forced Outage modeling. This option is an on/off distribution where Parameter 1 defines the probability (in percent) of the unit being available. This binomial option for resource forced outage modeling cannot be used if the Frequency and Duration Method for Outages is being used.
NOTE: This dropdown will only populate if the Link ID column exists in the Link table. At this point the Link ID column is an optional column in the model. If you need to add it, make sure it is populated with unique values for each record in the table. For help on adding columns, see Editing Database Tables.
NOTE: Distribution 0-500 allows the definition of up to 501 unique generic risk input variables per study. This number only serves to allow the user to associate a particular random draw with the correct variable name when setting up a CDS or viewing output. It does not affect the distribution of the random draws.
